What 'Cheapest Quote' Actually Means

Choosing the cheapest air con installer can actually cost you more in the long run. Here's the chain of events:

Pressure test gets skipped → small leak develops → refrigerant escapes → cooling drops → repairs + regassing.

Most people never see the pressure test step because it happens before the system is switched on. Ask any installer what their testing process is. If they can't describe it clearly — that's your answer.

If your air con starts underperforming a few months after install — this is almost always why.

The pipe connecting indoor and outdoor unit needs to be pressure tested before gas is released. Some installers skip it because it saves time. The gas slowly leaks. Cooling drops. You're paying for repairs that should never have happened.
