If you have to use a generator during or after cyclone Alfred here's some tips.
A. Always use them outside not in a enclosed space.
B. Use them somewhere dry and not in the rain
C. Don't try and connect them to your house power unless you have a connection point installed

EVENT UPDATE - 9am, 31 Dec

With blue skies above we are proceeding with the event. While we are monitoring the weather and may get a shower or storm throughout the day, we will do our best to put the event on from 4pm.

EVENT UPDATE - 2.30pm, 30 Dec

We hope everyone is staying dry out there!

We are still on track for the Caloundra NYE Celebrations 2023 tomorrow. Rain is forecast but we are watching the weather and hope to proceed with the event in light showers 🌧

We will keep you posted as the situation develops but we will always prioritise public safety. This may mean cancelling some aspects of the event if conditions persist or worsen.

The good news is that fireworks can generally proceed in light rain, we are even prepared to adjust the timing of these to ensure the show can go on if safe to do so.

Qld Government Smart Energy Rebate......finishes on the 4th of December but you can get some great rebates from the Government if you need a new fridge, freezer, washing machine or dryer etc.
