We often get asked if benchtops should have the same finish as cabinetry. Here is a good example of gloss benchtops with matt cabinetry. Don’t be fooled by the look of this benchtop, it’s laminate!

Laundries can be one of the most hard-working rooms in the home. While good laundry design is led by functionality, other important consideration include the durability of materials. In this space Laminex Green Slate was selected for floor to ceiling joinery, paired with Laminex Pure Mineral Stone II in DiamondGloss finish. How good is this timber look? A well matched edge makes all the difference. This colour is from the Arpa range and called “Ciliegio Avola” The Arpa range is one of our favourites, beautiful colours with a realistic feel and finish. You can see the rest of the colours here:

In our workshop - “Calacatta Gold” Especially suited to larger benchtops that will do justice to this pattern. Laminate manufacturing technology is quite amazing these days, have a close up look in the second photo. Also available in a gloss finish for those who don’t have messy teenagers in their kitchen.

This project recently completed by Scott from Sunshine Coast Total Maintenance has come together beautifully! The benchtop is Nover Evostone "Everest", head to https://www.nover.com.au/evostone-benchtops/ for more colours. We have all the colour samples here if you'd like a closer look.
Evostone comes in 20mm thickness, for this project we did a build-up to 40mm thickness to balance the design. Love your work, Scott!
