Osborne Group are looking for a hands-on Diesel Fitter/Mechanic to join our Caboolture-based heavy haulage and plant machinery company.
This is a full-time role overseeing our workshop operations, ensuring our fleet and plant equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
About the Role
As our Diesel Fitter/Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
*Performing diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on heavy haulage trucks, trailers, and plant machinery
*Scheduling and coordinating maintenance tasks
*Ensuring workshop safety, efficiency, and compliance
*Managing parts, tooling, and inventory
*Liaising with management and drivers to minimise downtime
*Maintaining service records and job documentation
*This is a hands-on position suitable for someone who enjoys both leadership and mechanical work.
To be successful, you’ll have:
Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
*Experience with heavy haulage and plant machinery
*Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
*Excellent communication and team leadership skills
*Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
*Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
