⚠️ A Quick Update From the Battlefield… ⚠️

We’re currently under the pump after walking into a run of some seriously f*cked pools.
The amount of concrete slurry, dirt, rubble, sand, and general site contamination being pushed into pools lately has been next level. In some cases we’re literally pulling 500kg or more of slurry and debris out of a single pool before we can even begin the actual cleaning process.
To the concreters who take the time to protect the pool and keep the rubbish out… thank you. It genuinely makes a massive difference.
Unfortunately, we’re also seeing an increasing number of jobs where every single bit of site debris ends up in the pool, turning what should be a straightforward clean into a major recovery operation.
On top of that, exposed aggregate cleans have become an absolute nightmare lately. We’re encountering levels of concrete stickage to pool shells that simply couldn’t have been predicted during the quoting stage. These jobs are requiring substantially more labour, specialist treatment, chemicals, and repeat visits than anyone could reasonably anticipate.
That means more time, more chemicals, more equipment wear, more disposal costs, and a lot more labour than originally allowed for.
Going forward, post-concrete cleaning prices will reflect the actual level of contamination we’re dealing with.
Where a pool is found to require substantially more work than could reasonably be determined at the time of quoting, R U WET POOL SPECIALISTS reserves the right to revise the original quotation to reflect the additional labour, chemicals, equipment use and specialist treatments required.
We quote based on what can reasonably be assessed before work begins, not on hidden surprises buried beneath half a tonne of slurry.
Thanks to everyone who’s been patient while we work through this week’s schedule. We’d rather spend the extra time getting the result right than rush through a job and compromise the quality we’re known for.
