FRIDAY FUN DAY — SPOT THE CAT ENGINE 👀🚛

A few photos from the Shepparton Museum of Vehicle Evolution - MOVE, and of course we found ourselves drawn to the Kenworths and the CAT badges.

Corey may not be your typical local truck enthusiast — he is much more at home around earthmoving gear, machinery and yellow iron — but he can absolutely get behind those yellow beating hearts tucked inside a truck.

Can you spot the CAT engine?

The old Kenworths are a pretty special part of Australian transport history. The W900SAR was introduced in Australia in 1975 and became the first Kenworth model designed, engineered and built here specifically for Australian operating requirements.

And while CAT is obviously known for yellow iron, they also became a huge name in heavy-duty truck engines long before launching their own vocational truck, the CAT CT660, in North America in 2011.

Different era, different badge, same love for how things work.

And yes… we will always have a soft spot for anything CAT powered. 🤌

GOING THE EXTRA MILE — LITERALLY 🚛🔧

Actively posting all CJ Tech vehicles working hard… purely for ATO evidence purposes, of course. 🤣

Here’s the F250 doing exactly what her job description says: heading to Melbourne and collecting undercarriage components and customer parts — some weighing hundreds of kilos.

With all that weight in the back, she didn’t even move a millimetre in the rear suspension… and that is exactly why we love our Ford Tough. 💪

Behind every repair, there is a lot that happens before the tools even come out.

Parts have to be sourced, ordered, collected, transported, unloaded, checked and ready to go so we can keep our customers’ jobs moving.

As a family business, it really is all hands on deck — on site, in the workshop, on the road, behind the computer, chasing parts, organising jobs and doing whatever needs to be done.

We go the extra mile because our customers rely on their gear, and we know downtime costs money.

And yes, every vehicle here at CJ Tech earns its keep… some just make the tax paperwork look a bit cooler while doing it. 🤣

A few weeks ago we took some time out with our Cadillac club and had the pleasure of riding on board the PS Pevensey at Echuca.

Built in 1910 and still powered by her original steam engine, the engineering had us absolutely mesmerised.

YELLOW IRON GETS US EVERY TIME 😍🔧

We will always make sure any machine, any make, and any application is well looked after in our hands…

But anyone who knows us knows CAT yellow iron is our kryptonite.

During a routine 1000-hour service on this CAT 320D, we picked up a broken and severely worn track roller, along with further undercarriage wear during inspection.

This is exactly why routine servicing matters. It is not just oils and filters — it is the full picture. Looking over the machine properly, identifying wear early, and giving the customer the right information before a minor issue turns into downtime, damage, or a costly failure.

With Corey’s background and passion for CAT gear, these machines always get the signature CJ Tech chef’s kiss 🤌

CAN YOU EVEN GUESS IT? 👀🔧

This one is a good reminder that sometimes the smallest part can cause the biggest headache.

Being a mobile and on-site service, we see all kinds of faults across all kinds of applications — machinery, vehicles, plant, floats, equipment and everything in between.

This job had us pulling things apart to find the real cause, and as you can see, this internal component had well and truly let go.
