📊 May is Queensland Small Business Month

May is a chance to recognise small businesses across Queensland and it got us thinking about some of the metrics behind our small business. Small business might sound small but the numbers tell a different story.

One month at Rechenberg looks like:
📧 81,320+ incoming emails (that's over 2,673 emails received a day!)
📞 53,920+ phone calls handled (that's over 1,772 calls in and out a day!)

Behind these numbers is our team, the people answering the calls, responding to emails, coordinating jobs, working out & about, serving in our shop, monitoring alarms and keeping everything running 24/7. It takes a dedicated group to manage this level of activity, and we’re proud of the work they do every single day.

Across Queensland, 97% of businesses are small businesses and around 40% of jobs come from them. Rechenberg is proud to be part of the small business community of Queensland and especially of Bundaberg.

If you know Michael, you’ll know how passionate he is about the environment.

At Rechenberg, that mindset shows up in the way we run our business every day. Our Bundaberg head office runs on solar power during the day, our vehicles include electric cars charged from solar, and we make sure materials, like metal, cable, cardboard, bottles and batteries are properly recycled instead of going to landfill. ♻️

Even the small things count, from reusing packaging and reducing paper to keeping our office largely paperless.

Earth Day is a great reminder that every step towards sustainability matters and we’re proud to keep improving the way we do things.
