Why does site access matter so much on a concrete job?
Because the job is not just about the finished slab.
It is also about getting people, tools, materials and concrete safely and efficiently to the work area.
Access issues can include ⏬️
➡️Tight side passages
➡️Steep or soft ground
➡️Long distances from the road to the pour area
➡️Low overhead clearance
➡️Overhead powerlines
➡️Limited truck access
➡️Existing fences, landscaping or structures in the way
These conditions can influence whether a job needs extra labour, different equipment, a concrete pump, smaller machinery or additional site planning.
Two slabs may look similar on paper, but if one has straightforward truck access and the other is tucked behind a house with a narrow side path, they are not the same job.
Good planning starts with understanding the site - not just the square metres.
