3rd area!
Here is the third area of this project.
In this area, we wanted to celebrate and incorporate Kimberley Aboriginal culture by creating a welcoming gathering space. The design includes a yarning circle with a central fire pit, providing a place for storytelling, connection, and community. Beautiful Kimberley stone seating surrounds the fire pit, reflecting the natural landscape and cultural heritage of the region while creating a meaningful and inviting place for people to come together.
Surrounding this, we installed different types of stone from the area, creating stunning colour differences, texture and depth to the area. Sleepers were used for retention of mulch garden beds, planted with beautiful plants from Pearl Coast Plants - a beautiful final touch, with pops of green, red pink and purple all around the garden. We planted:
Desert roses
Elephant ears
Drusina
Foxtail palms
Golden canes
Spider lillies
Licuala
Love crotons
Turf was brought in from Kununurra, the only turf suppliers for miles! But as always, got here in perfect condition. Thanks .
All areas of this garden are reticulated beautifully, with the system supplied by local company Flow Water Services - witn Todd's expertise!
And next post, will be a picture of our fabulous team, who completed this project in a record 3 weeks!
