THE KITCHEN MAKER 2026–27 SEASON ⛵️

We’re back on Sydney Harbour for another season of 18ft skiff racing — and this one marks a pretty special milestone for The Kitchen Maker.

The 2026–27 season will be our 17th consecutive season sponsoring an 18ft skiff with the Aust 18 Footers Double Bay League.

And we’re pretty excited about the crew we’ve got back on board.

After a couple of years away from the 18s to focus on their growing families, Jordan Girdis, Josh Feldmann and Jacob Broom are reuniting and ready to get back on the water.

The trio previously raced together aboard Fisher & Paykel during the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons, while Jordan also has plenty of history with The Kitchen Maker, having skippered our boat for three seasons from 2018–19 to 2020–21.

For Darren, the connection with the 18s goes back even further. He first competed in the fleet in 2001 and The Kitchen Maker has been sponsoring a boat every season since 2010–11.

Over those 17 seasons there have been plenty of great crews, great races and memorable moments — including taking out the 2017–18 NSW Championship. 🏆

But more than anything, the sponsorship has always come from Darren’s genuine love of the boats, the racing and the community around the 18s.

Now Jordan, Josh and Jacob are back, each with a young family of their own, and Sunday racing is set to become a full family affair.

17 seasons. Plenty of history. And we’re not done yet.
