Fresh off the tools in Freshwater 💪🏽

This Spotted Gum deck was a new build on an apartment terrace, and it came with a challenge. We couldn’t pe*****te the existing tiles or the ground, so we built it as a pedestal deck, a floating system that sits on top without drilling into anything.

The client is planning heavy stone furniture and plenty of pot plants, so we ran the joists at 300mm centres for the extra strength and stability.
Wrapped up in just 1.5 weeks, the client is stoked with the result.

Final reveal photos are to come once the stone furniture and greenery go in, so keep an eye out for the finished look. Really proud of the work on this one 🤙🏽

We were hired to replace a carport in an apartment complex on the Northern Beaches. The client wanted to ensure that the updated carport seamlessly blended in with the building’s original design elements, which brought a fun challenge to the job.

Today marks the start of Mental Health Month, and there’s no better time for us to shine a light on a cause that means a lot to our team.

We’re proud to be supporting Gotcha4Life Foundation, the Aussie charity built around the idea that no one should have to face life’s hardest moments alone.

Their programs are all about building “emotional muscle” and genuine connection in communities; because having one person you can turn to, a “Gotcha4Life mate”, can make all the difference. No one should have to face the hard stuff alone.

So far we’ve raised $200 toward the cause, and we’re setting our sights on a $5,000 goal.
If you’re able to chip in, every dollar goes directly toward programs that are changing - and saving - lives.

This North Curl Curl deck needed some serious love 🛠️

Our carpenter, Tom, takes you through the full scope; ripping out the old, rotten timber deck and starting fresh with a brand new build in a rich walnut colour, complete with balustrading and a pergola overhead finished with a polycarbonate roof to keep the weather out.

What was once tired and weathered is about to become a space this family will actually want to spend time in.

Here's how it turned out 🔥

The old 90mm merbau is gone and Everlast Pioneer is
down in its place. Same warmth underfoot, none of the
sanding, oiling and weathering that coastal timber asks
for every year.

And as a few of you picked up on part one — the real
work is underneath. New substructure, built properly,
so this one stays flat and solid for decades.
