Mawsons has recently added a side tipper truck to its fleet, designed to deliver greater efficiency and safety for our operations.

This modern unit is well-suited for transporting Broken Hill aggregates to Buronga, with return loads of sand back to the Broken Hill Concrete plant. Its advanced design allows it to operate at higher weight limits, meaning more material can be moved per trip, reducing turnaround times and improving productivity.

One of the standout features is the electric tarp system, which can be operated directly from the truck cabin. This innovation makes covering and uncovering loads faster and safer, eliminating the manual handling required with the previous unit.

This upgrade represents a significant step forward in safety, efficiency, and presentation, ensuring our team has the best tools for the job.

🍗BBQ in Broken Hill bringing awareness to Angelman Syndrome!

Staff in Broken Hill joined for a BBQ lunch to raise funds and awareness for Angelman Syndrome recently. Bree Maguire (Broken Hill Quarry) and her family welcomed little Huxley into the world in August 2024. Just 4 months later Huxley received a diagnosis of Angelman Syndrome.

Rather than be swallowed by this diagnosis, Huxley’s parents, Jessie & Bree, set out to bring awareness to the Angelman Syndrome community, and started raising funds!

The BBQ held in Broken Hill contributed $400 towards the cause, bringing the total raised amount to nearly $165,000 so far!

Well done to all involved, especially Huxley! 💪
