One day I might tell my journey from the cliffs of Sydney's famous The GAP to standing proud these last few weeks looking out at the staff and contractors I was able to shout smoko for, including Paul my new Operator. As TPW Services proudly remembered its founders mate Craig Kimler who thought he couldn't start a conversation with his mates. I have helped so many people through su***de and mental health issues since the first girl back in yr 9 at Bega High School some 36 years ago, but Craig was the first person, mate or stranger, that I wasn't able to help. So one of the ways I help is to talk and remind people like everyone on-site, that # , it only takes 8 minutes to change someone's train of thought and it could save their life. My CCTV Van has always had, and continues to have an open door policy, and it's been knocked on several times over the years, to start a conversation. I've now helped unveil two Blue Tree Projects with Michelle Kimler, one in Millmerran where I was a guest speaker and one more recently closer to home at Michelle, Craig's and my local pub, The Peak Pub at Peak Crossing.
They are to start conversations in su***de and mental health, and are now world wide. So Paul and I went down this week to have a b**r with Craig at the Blue Tree and started our own conversation.
Craig, you may be gone but you're never forgotten mate.
MLLH&R, Till we ride again brother.
