Taking the time to listen, learn and connect through culture at our Winnam Aged Care project.

We recently hosted a Cultural Awareness Toolbox Talk led by Grant Marshall, bringing together our project team, subcontractors and Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation over a BBQ and meaningful conversation. Grant shared stories about his culture, spoke about the significance of his precious artefacts, and encouraged important discussions around cultural awareness and connection.

Moments like these are an important reminder of the value of listening, learning and building stronger relationships within our industry.

The morning was followed by a site tour, where it was great to show the progress being made as the facility continues to take shape.

Big things are coming for basketball in Central Queensland 🏀

Recently, we joined Assistant Minister for Regional Development Senator Anthony Chisholm, Gladstone Basketball - GABA President Duane Jacobsen, Natalia Muszkat - Deputy Mayor Gladstone Regional Council representing Mayor Matt Burnett, Member for Gladstone Glenn Butcher MP and key stakeholders and project partners to officially turn the sod on the new Gladstone Regional Indoor Sports Centre for the Gladstone Amateur Basketball Association (GABA).

Located at Memorial Park in Gladstone, the new two-court indoor sports facility will provide a modern space for local athletes, families and the wider community to come together, compete and grow the game.

This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for grassroots sport in the region - creating more opportunities for participation, development and community connection for years to come.

We’re proud to see this project move one step closer to reality and look forward to watching the centre take shape. ⛹️‍♀️⛹️‍♂️

A team from Paynters attended the Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation National Sorry Day Commemoration Ceremony at Breakwater Park, along the Wynnum foreshore this morning.

National Sorry Day is an important opportunity to reflect, listen and acknowledge the strength, resilience and enduring cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while recognising the impacts of the Stolen Generations.

It was a meaningful morning of community, connection and respect, and we’re grateful to have joined alongside local Elders and leaders, students and community members to commemorate the day. It was especially powerful to see so many local schools represented, with strong and proud young First Nations people sharing their cultural identity with confidence and pride.

Thank you to the team at Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for hosting such an important event and creating a space for reflection, learning and unity.

Bushland Health Group residents are back in their homes following the completion of flood rectification works at their retirement living facility in Taree, on the NSW Mid North Coast.

After mobilising immediately following the May 2025 flood event, Paynters worked closely with Bushland Health Group Limited , Allianz, Sedgwick and Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers to support the recovery, mitigation and reinstatement of 46 retirement living villas.

To mark the completion of the project, the Paynters team and Sedgwick recently returned to Taree to host a special thank-you event with Bushland Health Group staff, residents and project stakeholders.

The day was an opportunity to reflect on what can be achieved through strong collaboration, clear communication and a shared commitment to getting residents safely back home.

We’re proud to have played a part in this recovery journey and to celebrate this important milestone together.

It was great to welcome students from Maleny State High School to our Caboolture Sports Club site for a hands-on Try a Trade experience. 👷🔨🎨

The students had the opportunity to get involved across a range of trades, including:
▪️ Roofing – setting out and laying roof tiles
▪️ Cabinetry – creating their own cheese boards to take home
▪️ Painting – learning timber-look painting techniques

The day gave students a chance to step outside the classroom, try practical skills firsthand and gain insight into careers in construction in an interactive and engaging environment.

The experience wrapped up with a guided site tour, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at a live construction project and the many trades involved in bringing it together.

A great day of learning, teamwork and hands-on experience for everyone involved.

Last Friday, our Cadets and Junior Construction team members visited Holovision and Watkins Steel for a behind-the-scenes tour, exploring how technology is advancing within the construction industry.

The morning kicked off at Holovision, where the team explored the latest AI and digital engineering technologies, chatting with robots and stepping into VR to fully immerse themselves in the capabilities and broad application of advanced 3D scanning. It was great to see how these innovations are being utilised across our industry.

We then headed to the Watkins Steel factory for a walkthrough of the steel processing and manufacturing process, gaining a deeper understanding of how these elements come together on our projects and the technology used to ensure precision and greater efficiency in fabrication.

Huge thank you to Des Watkins from Watkins Steel & Holovision for hosting us and taking the time to share his knowledge with our next generation of construction professionals.

Our latest project with Rockhampton Leagues Club is officially complete —welcome to Club Parkhurst!

Paynters transformed the former Kortes Resort function facilities into a vibrant new community venue for this growing region.

The redevelopment includes a 600sqm expansion to the existing function building, creating space for an additional dining option, a modern sports bar and a relaxed lounge area. The upgraded venue now accommodates up to 600 guests, providing greater flexibility for events and community gatherings.

Guests will also enjoy a welcoming new reception and café with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a landscaped courtyard and dedicated kids’ play area — creating a space for the whole community to connect.

Proud to deliver another project that supports regional growth and strengthens local community spaces.
