At Responsive Building, we know that looking after our people is just as important as the work we do every day.
This morning, our HR and Management Team proudly hosted a wellbeing breakfast for our staff, bringing the team together for an important conversation around mental health, connection, and support in our industry.
We were privileged to welcome Justin and Brett from MATES in Construction, who delivered their General Awareness Training a program designed to raise awareness around mental health and su***de prevention in the construction industry, help workers recognise when a mate may be struggling, and provide practical guidance on how to connect people with the right support. Their message was powerful, relevant, and one that we believe every person in our industry should hear.
As Responsive Building continues to grow, our leadership team recognises how critical the wellbeing of our staff is to the strength of our business. Supporting our people isn’t just a workplace initiative it’s part of who we are. While our large operating area meant some of our hardworking team members couldn’t attend in person today, our commitment to wellbeing extends far beyond our head office and reaches every member of the Responsive Building family, wherever they are working.
That support also extends to our valued contractors and trade partners. We understand the pressures that come with working in construction, and at Responsive Building, our door and our phone is always open. No call from one of our trades would ever be turned away, and we are proud to help connect our contractors with the incredible support services available through MATES in Construction if they ever need assistance.
A huge thank you to our in house chef for cooking an outstanding breakfast, to the girls for assembling our brand new BBQ, and a very special congratulations to Marianne on receiving Employee of the Month. A well deserved recognition for someone who consistently goes above and beyond.
At Responsive Building, we’re proud to be building more than homes and repairs we’re building a workplace culture where people matter, support is real, and no one stands alone.
