The partnership of Carroll & Murphy was forged in 1952, when plasterers Dick Carroll and Tom Murphy began working on their first project together – Satellite City – now known as the suburb of Inala. In 1964, Dick Carroll’s son Peter began his apprenticeship with the company, eventually taking charge of the company in 1984. Today he continues working in a hands-on capacity while his son Joseph, who started his trade with the company over two decades ago, oversees the operation of the business. Keeping the company a family affair has ensured that the skills required by each member have been passed down through each generation, resulting in a labour force of genuinely experienced, skilled and resourced craftsmen. Recognising that our reputation for service and quality has been the key to our longevity and success within the industry, we are extremely selective with who we employ. This is why we choose to only have the best tradesmen to wear the C&M logo.
