Rain? We just move inside.

Same blokes you see hanging off the side of a building on ropes. When the weather turns we head inside and give the internal areas some love too.

No standing around waiting for the sun. No new faces turning up. The crew that knows the building outside knows it inside too.

It's never just painting.

Most jobs aren't just a fresh coat. Before the paint goes on, something usually needs fixing.

On this one the old foam window trims had to come off. Then the boys re-rendered around every window by hand so the wall's sound and smooth, ready for new paint.

Get up there, fix it, then paint it. Part ninja, part Spider-Man, part magician. 🥷🕷️🪄

That's what experience looks like. Doing the bit nobody sees, so the bit everyone sees lasts.

Tight gate? No dramas.

Loving life on the Gold Coast. The crew's down here full time now, and this little machine came with us.

It's one of ours. We own our own machines, so when a job needs a lift, it's already ours and ready to go.

It walks through pool gates, along garden paths and around the fences, then stands up and gets the crew right up the building. Little machine, gets into the tightest places, and it's always being used.

The right gear, and a crew that knows how to get it in.

Best office in Brisbane. No chair though.

One rope, one painter, one wall. The parapet and the edges on a building like this are the bit you only notice from the street when they're done badly. Up here it's slow, careful work: clip in, check it twice, cut the line clean, move across, do it again.
Just the crew, the ropes and a view most people pay a mortgage for.

That's what experience looks like. The hard stuff done quietly.

Sometimes the best advice is don't paint.

You might find it strange, but sometimes we'll tell you not to paint your building. Sometimes it just needs a wash. Sometimes other repairs have to happen first.

I looked at a job the other day for a large body corporate. They had to redo all the roofs, and they asked me what comes first, the painting or the roofs. My advice was the roofs. Even though it meant I wasn't going to get the painting job.

I'd rather be honest and do the right thing by you and the building. That's what sets up a good relationship for the future.

If we're painting your building, you shouldn't have a job.

That's what stress free actually means. Once you've got us on, the building's our problem, not yours.

Notices out to residents, access sorted, right down to getting the colours locked in. All of it's on us. You shouldn't be chasing anyone or wondering what's happening next.

That's what you're paying us for. Your job is done the day you hire us.

We look after buildings. No matter how hard.

Nobody said the pool would be empty!

Job says: paint the pool wall. Pool says: not draining for anyone. So in he goes. Waist deep, roller on a pole, mate on the deck spotting the ladder, and the wall gets its coat.

That's the bit of this trade nobody puts in the brochure. Half the job is working out how to get at the thing. The other half is being the sort of person who says yeah, righto, and gets in.

If you've got a wall nobody else wants to reach, we're already wet.

Not a bad office for a Thursday morning.

This is one of our current jobs at Kangaroo Point, and the crew doing what they do. Three on the ropes off the roof, one up top keeping an eye on things, and a view of the city most people pay a lot of money for.

All those pale patches on the render are the bit nobody posts about. Every crack chased out, filled, sanded and primed before a drop of the finish coat goes anywhere near it. It's not pretty, and it takes days. But it's the difference between a facade that looks good at handover and one that still looks good in ten years.

Doing the boring bit properly so the good bit lasts.
