We were proud to sponsor a recent industry event in collaboration with Constructionarium Australia, supporting an initiative that brings hands-on learning and real-world experience to life.

As part of our involvement, several of our team members, Colm, Trevor, Megan, Lance, Ronan, Michaela and Darren, attended across different days, engaging with participants and contributing to the overall experience. It was fantastic to see such strong enthusiasm and collaboration throughout the program.

Our involvement with Constructionarium Australia, which was held from 15 April to 24 April, highlights our commitment to developing future talent in the construction industry. The program provides participants with invaluable practical experience, working together to deliver scaled infrastructure projects in a real-world environment.

A big thank you to everyone involved and to those who stopped by during the event. We’re proud to support initiatives that invest in people, skills, and the future of our industry.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a very special baby shower in the office to celebrate not one, not two… but three upcoming arrivals within the Silverstrand team 👶👶👶

It was a great opportunity to take a break from the day-to-day, bring the team together, and celebrate this exciting milestone with our colleagues as they prepare to grow their families.

From decorations and treats to plenty of laughs and well wishes, it was a fantastic way to recognise the people behind the projects and the culture that makes Silverstrand such a great place to work.

Wishing our soon-to-be parents all the very best! We can’t wait to meet the newest (and smallest) members of the team!

This International Women’s Day, we recognise the women across our team who contribute to the success of our projects every day - in the office, on site, and everywhere in between.

Silverstrand Developments had a fantastic time attending The University of Queensland Careers Day, connecting with the next generation of industry professionals.

We were excited to promote our Undergraduate Program, designed for students studying Civil Engineering, Accounting, HSE, HR, and Commercial who are looking to gain real world experience and kick start their careers in the civil construction industry.

It was great meeting so many motivated and talented students, having meaningful conversations about career pathways, and sharing what life at Silverstrand Developments looks like.

A big thank you to The University of Queensland for hosting such a well organised and engaging event. We’re already looking forward to being back again next year.

Silverstrand are delighted to celebrate a significant milestone for our Bluff Bridge Project with traffic having now been switched to one lane on the new bridge. Well done to the project team as we move towards the final completion stages of the project.

This temporary setup helps keep our crews safe and allows us to finish the upgrade more efficiently.

Thank you for your patience and support as we get closer to delivering this major improvement for the community. 🙌

Project Milestone: Bluff Bridge Replacement, Grafton NSW

Silverstrand is proud to be progressing on the Bluff Bridge Replacement project in Grafton, New South Wales, delivered for Clarence Valley Council.

This design and construct contract involves building a new three-span, single-lane concrete bridge over the Orara River, replacing the existing timber bridge structure to improve road safety and access for the local community.

Our team hit a key milestone with the installation of the 8no. 1200Ø bored cast-in-situ piles, laying the foundation for what’s to come.🚧

Great work by the crew on-site as we continue to deliver quality infrastructure in regional Australia.👏

Trivia Time at Silverstrand 🧠

Last Friday, our team took a break from site boots and spreadsheets to test our knowledge in a Trivia Afternoon! From general culture and sports to movies and food & drinks, we put our brains to the test and shared plenty of laughs along the way.

Big shoutout to our trivia champions, "We Are Just Guessing", made up of Laura, Ryan, Simone, Jade, and Jack. You definitely guessed right 👏

Great to see everyone connecting and enjoying some friendly competition!
