Another wastewater infrastructure project added to the Silverstrand portfolio.đź‘Ź

Silverstrand has been awarded the Millbank Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Inlet Works Upgrade for Bundaberg Regional Council, reinforcing our capability as a trusted civil contractor delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure across Australia.

The Millbank Wastewater Treatment Plant is essential for the Bundaberg region. This upgrade will enhance the plant's capacity, reliability, and operational efficiency, supporting future growth in the area.

Our scope of works includes the construction of a new inlet works facility, associated civil structures, process pipework, mechanical equipment, electrical installations and an odour control facility.

Congratulations to everyone involved in securing this project. We're proud to partner with Bundaberg Regional Council to deliver infrastructure that will strengthen essential services across the region and support its continued growth for years to come

We're proud to announce that Silverstrand has been recognised with four nominations in the 2026 Queensland Excellence in Civil Construction Awards, hosted annually by the Civil Contractors Federation Queensland Ltd (CCF).

Our team has been nominated in the following categories:

-Site Supervisor of the Year: Noel O'Shea
-Collaborative Project of the Year: Shoreline WWTP

We were proud to sponsor a recent industry event in collaboration with Constructionarium Australia, supporting an initiative that brings hands-on learning and real-world experience to life.

As part of our involvement, several of our team members, Colm, Trevor, Megan, Lance, Ronan, Michaela and Darren, attended across different days, engaging with participants and contributing to the overall experience. It was fantastic to see such strong enthusiasm and collaboration throughout the program.

Our involvement with Constructionarium Australia, which was held from 15 April to 24 April, highlights our commitment to developing future talent in the construction industry. The program provides participants with invaluable practical experience, working together to deliver scaled infrastructure projects in a real-world environment.

A big thank you to everyone involved and to those who stopped by during the event. We’re proud to support initiatives that invest in people, skills, and the future of our industry.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a very special baby shower in the office to celebrate not one, not two… but three upcoming arrivals within the Silverstrand team 👶👶👶

It was a great opportunity to take a break from the day-to-day, bring the team together, and celebrate this exciting milestone with our colleagues as they prepare to grow their families.

From decorations and treats to plenty of laughs and well wishes, it was a fantastic way to recognise the people behind the projects and the culture that makes Silverstrand such a great place to work.

Wishing our soon-to-be parents all the very best! We can’t wait to meet the newest (and smallest) members of the team!
