Our recent Security grads! 🎉

It is always exciting seeing our students smiling faces with their certificates on graduation day.

Taking the next steps to enter the industry can often seem daunting. As they begin their next endeavours, we hope they have the confidence and courage to chase after every opportunity and don't wait for them.

We hope they left feeling empowered to pursue the industry, or role that inspires them most.

We’re so proud of all our graduates and can’t wait to see where their security training takes them! 👏

WHAT A DAY!

Yesterday the ATI Team headed to the First Nations Careers Expo, connecting with job seekers, workforce providers, companies and teachers to support their training needs.

There was strong interest around security officer training among job seekers keen to work across licensed venues, gigs, construction sites and more. We also had great engagement from companies in need of workplace safety training courses.

If that sounds like you, enquire or book online today at https://zurl.co/SNZPa. Whether it's security training or your mandatory workplace safety course, we're here to answer your questions and help you get started.

In an emergency, training can be the difference between a managed response and chaos.

A trained Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) needs defined roles, a practiced plan, and the confidence to execute it under pressure. From Fire Extinguisher Trained Staff acting in the first critical seconds, through to Fire Wardens coordinating safe evacuation and a Chief Fire Warden making decisions when the plan has to change — each role plays a specific part in keeping your people safe.

ATI delivers every fire safety course your ECO needs — at our Albion (Brisbane) or Ipswich campuses, or at your workplace.

RSA or RSG? Here's what you need to know.

For licensed venues across Queensland, ensuring team members hold the correct certifications is essential for both compliance and operational excellence.

RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling) training equip staff with the knowledge and confidence to meet regulatory requirements while delivering safe, professional customer experiences.

While online learning may suit some learners, classroom-based training offers a much more engaging experience for students:
✔ Real-time guidance from experienced trainers
✔ Immediate feedback and clarification of industry scenarios
✔ Greater confidence applying skills in venue environments

For venue managers, investing in quality training helps support compliance, reduce risk, and prepare staff for the realities of working in licensed hospitality and gaming settings.

📖 We've put together a guide covering the key differences between RSA and RSG, who needs them, and more.

Thinking about a career in security? We asked three Queensland security employers what they actually look for when hiring.

Greg Kimmings from Queensland Parliament, John Martin from Queensland Protective Services, and Shawn Allen from Strategic Security highlighted communication, teamwork, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

"Security is about a system. It's not about one individual."
