J I L B A // Visual renders

A quiet, understated arrival gives little away before the home gradually reveals itself toward the river. A broad U-shaped plan wraps a central courtyard, bringing landscape into the heart of the home and creating a strong connection between each wing.

Toward the Brisbane River, long horizontal forms, expansive glazing and generous outdoor living spaces frame the outlook, with a cantilevered pool extending the architecture toward the river beyond.

Interior renders coming soon…

Designed to sit quietly within its setting, The Hide is compact, secluded and completely immersed in the landscape. Every space is shaped around the outlook and the feeling of being away- a place to slow down, switch off and take it all in.

Springbrook is one of those sites where the conditions shape almost every decision. High in the hinterland, altitude, exposure, orientation and weather have all influenced how the house sits, opens and is detailed.

The form stays deliberately simple, while the material palette has been selected with longevity and weathering in mind - not just how it looks on day one.

Still evolving, but getting close. Keen to see this one move from the drawing board to site.

B A N O O L

A reimagining of the traditional Queenslander. Rather than compete with the original home, the new work builds upon its character, opening the interiors to light, landscape and a stronger connection with the outdoors.

New living spaces unfold towards the garden and pool, while a rich, grounded material palette creates warmth and continuity throughout.

A home where old and new sit comfortably together, and every space feels connected.

Welcoming you the newest member of the BASE team, Phoebe!

Phoebe recently completed her 100-hour QUT Work Integrated Learning placement with us and we’re very excited to share that she has now officially joined the team as an Interior Design Student.

Her positivity, creativity and eagerness to learn have made her such a wonderful addition to the studio and we can’t wait to see her continue to grow in the role.

Boston is defined by a strong sense of continuity - long sightlines, generous volume and a clear connection between each part of the home.

A double-height living space draws light deep into the interior, while integrated joinery and a central stone element anchor the plan. The palette creates warmth, texture and a consistent rhythm from one space to the next.

The result is a home that feels calm, expansive and highly resolved- where every material, junction and proportion has been carefully considered.

Visual Renders // Currently on site

Currently taking shale on site, Upper Brookfield extends across its rural setting. Organised beneath one continuous roofline, the home is divided into a dedicated children’s wing, a private master suite and a generous central living zone. The main living spaces open directly to the outdoor entertaining areas, creating an easy transition between the interior and the surrounding landscape.

Full-height glazing runs throughout the home, with each room oriented to capture a different aspect of the site. Views are drawn in from every direction, allowing the surrounding scenes to remain present throughout the entire home. The long horizontal form responds to the openness and scale of the site.
Natural stone, off-form concrete, blackened timber and exposed rafters give the home a strong, grounded character. Open, generous and closely connected to its setting.

Currently taking shape on site, this new boutique healthcare clinic has created an experience that feels calm, comfortable and considered. Warm earthy tones drawn from the practice’s branding are paired with light oak timber, soft curves and layered textures, moving away from conventional clinical cues to create a more welcoming environment.

Rich, tactile materials, integrated acoustic treatments and soft lighting help bring a sense of ease throughout, while maintaining the functionality and privacy required of a medical setting. The Women’s Practice reflects the idea that healthcare design is more than functionality- it can shape how people feel, respond and connect.
