Q U A N D E I N E.

Currently on the drawing board, a careful balance of old and new.

The proposal retains the familiar scale and character of the existing home, while introducing a more grounded and contemporary extension centred around landscape, natural light and outdoor living. Warm timber, textured stone and softened planting work together to create a quieter architectural language to the rear.

Designed to feel open, calm and deeply connected to the outdoors.

More to come.

Keperra Golf Club.
Beyond residential.

Over the past five years, BASE has been working alongside Keperra Golf Club to help reimagine the club through a long-term masterplan - from hospitality and member spaces through to operational upgrades and a new Pro Shop.

A contemporary reworking designed to elevate the experience of the club while sitting naturally within the landscape of the course.

These images capture the initial design vision, with completed site photography coming soon.

Welcome to Crammond. 🏡

A Queenslander reimagined with a softer, more contemporary edge.

Soft light, warm timber, rich earthy tones and breezeways that stay open all day shape a home designed for relaxed everyday living. Large openings draw natural light deep into the interior, while layered textures and natural materials create warmth, depth and a calm sense of retreat throughout.

Relaxed, light-filled and designed for slow afternoons and everyday living.

K U A R I.

A reworking of a traditional Queenslander, balancing the original character of the home with a more refined and contemporary approach.

The front façade is softened through a lighter material palette, integrated planting and subtle screening elements that reshape the street presence without overpowering it.
To the rear, the home opens into a new ground-level addition centred around outdoor living, the pool and landscape beyond- bringing together curved forms, natural stone and layered greenery to create a softer connection between inside and out.

Retreat, The Interiors 🤍

A layered material palette of stone, timber and brushed metals brings warmth and depth to the expansive interior spaces, balancing double-height rooms and oversized voids with moments that feel more intimate and grounded.

Designed with a strong architectural presence, carefully detailed joinery and layered material transitions shape a series of connected spaces, each with their own atmosphere and function while still feeling cohesive as a whole.

Minimal in platte, rich in texture and designed to feel lived in.

On the drawing board- Fuller St.

A traditional Queenslander reworked through light, scale and connection.

The original home remains to the street, opening into a contemporary rear addition centred around expansive living, outdoor entertainment and the landscape beyond.

Double-height voids, large openings and layered screening bring natural light deep into the home while strengthening the connect between inside and out.

A softer material palette and integrated planting balances the cleaner architectural forms, creating a home that feels both refined and grounded.

Welcome to RETREAT.

A transformation of an existing home into a more refined, layered and considered retreat, bringing a greater sense of warmth, connection and flexibility to the way the home is experienced.

By opening connections between spaces, introducing new entertaining zones and creating quieter moments throughout, the home was completely reworked. The original form and soaring rooflines remain, while the renovation focused on softening both the interiors and exterior elevations through warmth, materiality and carefully resolved detail.

The result is a home that feels both expansive and intimate, refined yet relaxed, reshaping the original foundation into something more connected to retreat and everyday living.
