A proud night celebrating the people behind Queensland’s golf clubs.

Congratulations to Keperra Country Golf Club on taking home two awards, including Queensland’s Best Golf Club to Visit, Play and Enjoy and Best Coach for their junior golf program.

Over the past six years, Base has worked closely with Gavin and the team at Keperra, sharing a vision to elevate the club from the course and its facilities through to the overall member experience. What began with the maintenance facilities has grown into a much broader transformation, with the clubhouse marking the next chapter.

It’s a relationship built on more than architecture and one that has since led to our involvement with Oxley Golf Club, where we’ve recently lodged the DA for the next stage of its development!

A wonderful evening recognising the staff, volunteers, management and wider community who make these clubs what they are. Congratulations to Gav and the entire Keperra team on such well-deserved recognition.

Set along the edge of the escarpment, Hovard is planned around its connection to the landscape - with views to the hinterland unfolding throughout the home rather than being reserved for a single moment.

Broad rooflines and generous glazing open the house to its setting, while natural stone, layered landscaping and the infinity-edge pool respond to the fall of the site below.

Now nearing completion on site. We’re looking forward to sharing the finished home soon.

Z E N I T H S H O W R O O M

Designed around display, collaboration and everyday use, Zenith brings together a series of spaces to sit, meet, work and experience the collection in context. Warm timber, curved forms, planting and layered textiles soften the commercial shell, while exposed services and acoustic elements add character overhead.

A central open-air garden helps break up the space, creating a natural transition between furniture displays, collaborative settings and quieter work zones. More than a backdrop for furniture, the showroom demonstrates how thoughtful design can shape the way people work, meet and connect.

The home steps with the terrain, using sweeping curves, cantilevered concrete and layered outdoor spaces to turn a challenging slope into one of the project’s strongest features.

Deep overhangs, timber cladding and dark metalwork give definition to the form, while generous glazing frames the Brisbane outlook and brings light deep into the interior. Across the lower levels, the pool, terraces and landscaped edges are woven into the architecture rather than treated as separate elements, creating a series of spaces that shift between open, sheltered, social and private.

From the street it reads as bold and sculptural. From within, the experience is softer -shaped by light, landscape, outlook and the way the home opens to the outdoors.

A calm, elevated bathroom starts with good planning- clear circulation, balanced proportions, considered wet and dry zones, storage where you need it and lighting that works throughout the day. From there, custom joinery, material selection, tapware and detailing shape how resolved the space feels.

A quiet, understated arrival gives little away before the home gradually reveals itself toward the river. A broad U-shaped plan wraps a central courtyard, bringing landscape into the heart of the home and creating a strong connection between each wing.

Toward the Brisbane River, long horizontal forms, expansive glazing and generous outdoor living spaces frame the outlook, with a cantilevered pool extending the architecture toward the river beyond.
