Check out these pics of a couple of the heavy hitters in the APS fleet, their SK380SRLC-7 and the mighty SK500XDLC smashing through a basement dig at Toowong.
Good to see both ends of the SR and XD range put to work side by side. The 380SRLC is no lightweight either, and the short radius design means it can work close to the boundary in a tight city site without swinging into anything it shouldn't. Perfect machine for exactly this kind of inner city basement work.
Then you've got the SK500XDLC doing the heavy lifting, a genuine extreme duty machine with a reinforced boom, arm and undercarriage built to take whatever a punishing site like this throws at it. Running around 52 tonnes with 257kW out of the engine, it's got the grunt and the durability to keep chewing through dirt all day without missing a beat.
Two very different jobs on the same site and both machines just getting on with it, which is exactly what you want when the clock's ticking on a dig like this.
Always a pleasure to catch up with the boys from APS. Thanks for having us out to see the gear in action, and thanks for the ongoing support and trust in Kobelco and the Brisvegas Machinery family. It means a lot and we don't take it for granted.
