Another fantastic day out at Pacific Golf Club - Carindale for this year’s Inertia Golf Day. With blue skies and the opportunity to see one of our projects in action, it made for a pretty special day on the green.

This year’s theme had everyone dressing as something starting with the first letter of their name, and the creativity definitely delivered. From an Ant to a Time Traveller, the costumes brought plenty of laughs. A big congratulations to our Best Dressed winner, Liam Blake, who teamed up with Emma Skea as a lettuce and egg sandwich duo.

Congratulations to our winners:

1st Place: Grant Watson & Gregg Hoesman
2nd Place: Jed Michel & Casey Shea
3rd Place: Greg Rienecker & Ky Shuttleworth

A special mention also goes to our Closest to the Pin winners: Anthony Carey, Grant Watson, Nancy Gunning & Steven Ibbotson.

Huge thanks to our prize sponsors: X-Golf South Bank, Fritzenberger BNE, Brooklyn Depot OG, Brisbane, and Coco Bliss South Bank for helping make the day even better.

And finally, a massive shoutout to Aaron Ward for pulling together another standout event! 🏌️

Our team recently visited the Flagstone Logistics Estate project alongside Douglas Construction & Engineering, highlighting the delivery of a new distribution centre for Dats. Inertia provided civil engineering services for the project, helping bring this industrial development to life.

A big thanks to Joshua Cotey for taking us through the site and sharing insights into the delivery of the project.

What legacy do you hope your work leaves behind for future communities? That question sparked different responses from our Inertians, but the common thread was impact - creating places and communities that genuinely improve the way people live.

We believe the best project outcomes come from people who care about what they build and the legacy they leave behind. That’s why culture matters here. Collaboration and shared purpose are part of how we work every day. If you’re looking to be part of that, explore our current opportunities at https://inertiaeng.com.au/careers/

As QM Properties’ Beachside development progresses into the formal tender phase and contract review, Ryan Llewelyn and Matt Llewelyn discussed the importance of reaching this key project milestone and the value of bringing tenderers on-site ahead of the tender process.

With more than 250 hectares of land and significant infrastructure works to deliver, the site walk provided tenderers with a firsthand understanding of the scale, complexity, and staging requirements of the project, helping ensure a more informed and collaborative tender process.

A milestone moment for Inertia Engineering as we officially opened our new Brisbane headquarters in South Bank.

What began more than 20 years ago as a local Queensland business has grown into a nationally expanding consultancy, and we are proud to keep our headquarters based in Brisbane - a city we believe is one of the best places to build and scale a business.

We were honoured to welcome Anthony Ryan, CEO at Brisbane Economic Development Agency, who shared insights on Brisbane’s continued growth and economic momentum. Anthony then joined Scott Clements and Mel Pikos from TACTIC (our fit-out partner) for the official ribbon cutting, marking an exciting new chapter.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this significant milestone and support the next phase of Inertia’s journey.
