Congratulations to the project team behind 360 Queen Street on achieving a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built v1.2 certification, the highest level of Green Star recognition from the Green Building Council of Australia.

EBSA was proud to contribute to the building’s sustainability and indoor environment strategy through the supply and installation of MP2 frameless thermally broken double-glazed louvres to the wintergardens across four levels.

The louvres, controlled through EBSA’s CPS-M system with Modbus RTU integration to the BMS, support the operation of the wintergardens as part of the building’s broader approach to indoor environment quality and sustainability.

A fantastic result for a project setting a high standard for sustainable commercial development in Brisbane.

55 Pitt Street

Work is progressing on 55 Pitt Street in Sydney’s Circular Quay precinct, a new commercial development by Mirvac and Mitsui Fudosan.

EBSA is supplying D+H Mechatronic CDM-1000-1-800 actuators for the project’s operable windows, providing automated opening and closing as part of the building’s façade systems.

The project is designed with a focus on sustainability, occupant wellbeing and access to fresh air, with operable windows contributing to the building’s approach to natural ventilation.

The G Series Single Glazed Centre Pivot Louvre

The Schneider G Series louvres are engineered to a standard beyond traditional systems. Featuring a concealed metal rack and pinion mechanism, the design ensures unobstructed views through the frameless glass blades.

The G series single glazed louvre is designed as a weather screen and is perfectly suited to enclose balcony and winter garden spaces in low and high-rise applications. Certified to Australian Standards, it withstands up to 150 Pascals of water pe*******on and is approved for use in non-airconditioned spaces.

This system offers commercial-grade quality glazing in 9.52 millimetre, 10 millimetre and 10.76 millimetre thicknesses, suitable for projects where 6 millimetre domestic louvres would not suffice.

Chifley South - Sydney C*D

Chifley South is continuing to take shape at Chifley Square, with the façade now revealing the architectural character of the new 37-storey tower.

As part of the project, EBSA is supplying and installing D+H Mechatronic smoke control systems for the motorised awning windows. The system includes CDC 0252-350-ACB actuators and CPS-M smoke control panels, with features including automatic closure on loss of power, 72-hour battery backup, fault indication and integration with the building management, fire and mechanical systems.

Designed by Bates Smart, the development will provide approximately 65,000 sqm of premium commercial and amenity space, with the façade incorporating window wall and curtain wall systems to support a mixed-mode environment and natural ventilation. The project is targeting a 6-Star Green Star Buildings rating and 5.5-Star NABERS Energy rating.

With construction progressing towards completion in 2027, Chifley South will form a new component of the broader Chifley precinct, alongside the existing Chifley North tower.

A project where façade performance, natural ventilation and smoke control are being integrated into a highly resolved commercial development.

CPS-M Control Panel - Modular control for complex building systems

The D+H CPS-M is a fully modular, digital control panel designed for large-scale smoke control, natural ventilation and automated façade applications.

Its project-specific configuration allows control architecture to be developed around the requirements of each building, including multiple ventilation groups, fire zones, programmed operating sequences and building-system interfaces.

Key capabilities include:

• Modular and scalable system architecture
• Reduced field cabling through distributed control and intelligent networking
• Individual control and position feedback from compatible ACB drives
• Project-specific smoke-control zoning and cause-and-effect logic
• Integration with fire alarm, BMS and other building systems
• Modbus, BACnet and KNX interfaces where specified
• Natural ventilation functions including night purge, temperature and CO₂ control
• Battery-backed operation where required
• Optional HMI and remote access for system monitoring and diagnostics

With two-way communication between the CPS-M and compatible drives, individual openings can be monitored for position, faults and operating status, providing greater visibility across the system.
