Hamilton Project: The kitchen, Before & After

Some kitchen renovations touch one room. This one touched several of them.

This is the before & after walkthrough of our Hamilton project — where the flow and functionality of the kitchen drove the design. The space was changed to accomodate the new kitchen being the hub and its connection to the rest of the house

It’s easy to see a finished house and forget what it took to get there. Watch through for the full picture.

Click. And it’s done.”

This Ashgrove kitchen went from bare subfloor and sawdust to the centre of the house: hardwood floors doing all the talking underfoot, a servery island with room for the cookbook collection, and enough bench space to actually host a crowd on it.

If your place is currently sitting at the “bare subfloor” stage of the story, we can fast-forward you to this bit too. 📺

Ashgrove Project: The Bathroom Before & After

Some transformations need showing, not telling.

This is the bathroom from our Ashgrove project — before to after. What was there before is barely recognisable next to what’s there now.

A full bathroom renovation touches everything: layout, waterproofing, tiling, fixtures, finishes. Watch through to see it all come together.

Hamilton Reveal: The Kitchen That Repositioned the Whole Home"

Some kitchens are just a kitchen. This one was designed to be the whole house's centre of gravity. 🏡

The clever part wasn't the finish — it was the thinking. By repurposing the existing rooms and reworking the floor plan, the kitchen was repositioned to become the true hub of the home: the space every other room now flows around, built for a family that entertains.

And because of exactly where it landed in the plan, we could do something most kitchens never get — a laundry chute built straight into the cabinetry, dropping directly down into the laundry below. Small detail, huge quality-of-life win. 🧺

🏡 Before you move… check under your feet!

This Lutwyche family thought their only options were to extend or move.
Instead, we showed them a smarter way—right within their existing footprint.

By rethinking the floor plan, we unlocked:
✅ 2 extra bedrooms
✅ A new bathroom
✅ An updated laundry
✅ A second sitting room for when the kids need their own space

All without the cost and hassle of an extension.
Sometimes, the best move… is not moving at all
