Project Update | ELC & Gym Morayfield

The project continues to progress positively, with both the Early Learning Centre and Gym reaching key stages of completion as this community-focused development moves closer to reality.

A key transition from construction to occupation is now underway, with the Gym progressing through tenancy fit-out and the ELC entering its next phase of finishes and fix-out works.

Beyond the buildings, focus is increasingly turning to the broader site experience. Outbuilding works are underway, while soft landscaping has commenced, beginning to shape the connections between built form and public realm.

Thank you to our dedicated project team and partners for their continued commitment and collaboration throughout the journey.

Project Update | Lyra, Chermside

Progress continues to build at Lyra, with the project advancing steadily and key structural milestones being achieved on site.

The completion of the Level 2 slab represents another important step forward, with vertical elements already underway as the next stage of the structure begins to take form. It’s great to see the development coming together as each phase is delivered.

With Level 3 works now approaching, momentum continues to build. Thank you to our team and partners for their hard work and commitment in driving the project forward.

Project Update | StoreLocal Redland Bay

Strong progress continues on site, with the past month marking another key milestone across multiple levels of the build.

Structural works are advancing well, with major pours completed and core elements taking shape. At ground level, early services and fit-off activities are now underway, positioning the project strongly for the next phase.

Last Friday marked the final day of the 2026 BEYOND Cycling Challenge — 750km, five days, and over 12,000 metres of elevation.

This ride is about supporting TRACTION For Young People and the work they do every day with young people who need support at a critical point in their lives. Through hands-on programs and consistent mentoring, TRACTION helps build confidence, practical skills and a sense of direction.

Checkpoint Constructions was a proud Silver Sponsor of the MGD/Jones Day team, with our very own Craig Petersen taking on the challenge firsthand alongside an inspiring and committed group of riders and organisers - contributing to something that delivers real, lasting impact.

The fundraising total is now closing in on the $900,000 goal, with donations still open. Every contribution helps extend the reach of TRACTION’s programs and the number of young people they can support.

We are proud to support and participate in the BEYOND for TRACTION Cycling Challenge 2026.

In March, our Director Craig Petersen will take on a demanding five-day, 750 kilometre ride with over 12,000 metres of elevation through the Adelaide Hills, raising funds for early intervention programs that support young people when it matters most.

TRACTION for Young People delivers hands-on, relationship-led mentoring programs that help young people build confidence, competence and momentum. Through safe, inclusive environments and trusted mentors, young people experience success, strengthen skills and begin to imagine what’s possible for their future.

Since 2015, TRACTION has supported thousands of young people across Queensland, creating positive ripple effects for families, schools and communities.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Craig and this important cause so far. We’re proud to stand alongside an organisation committed to long-term, evidence-informed impact.

New Project Announcement | Apollo Villages, Redcliffe QLD

We’re delighted to announce that construction is underway at Apollo Villages Redcliffe, marking the commencement of an exciting childcare refurbishment and fit-out project.

This project involves the full refurbishment of an existing childcare facility, delivering a modern, safe, and engaging early learning environment.

Situated on a site of over 4,000 sqm, the centre will be complemented by a thoughtfully designed playscape, creating an inspiring space that nurtures development, play, and learning throughout the early years.

Project Completion | Checkpoint Constructions is delighted to announce the completion of a new four-level self storage facility in Molendinar QLD.

This purpose-built facility is situated in a prime location along Southport-Nerang Road. The four-storey structure offers more than 2,100 sqm of floor area per level and accommodates 575 self-storage units, establishing it as a substantial addition to the region’s storage capacity.

Key features include secure access control, ground floor office/showroom, high-capacity lifts, integrated services, a contemporary exterior complemented by considered landscaping and practical on-site circulation areas for vehicles and customers.

We’re proud to share our latest office fitout, delivered in the vibrant heart of Newstead - a project that merges architectural character with modern functionality.

The striking Kaynemaile front facade sets the tone for what lies within. This bespoke 400 sqm space includes a stylish entry, functional kitchen, open plan office, breakout areas, several meeting rooms, bathrooms and a 12-person boardroom.

A warm, contemporary feel runs throughout, with polished concrete floors, new external glazing, ample natural light, character pieces such as a freshly restored Ferguson tractor, and spotted gum feature walls.
