Not every project starts with a clean slate.

This one began with what was left behind, a fragmented structure, stripped back to its concrete core. From there, the opportunity was clear.

Rebuild. Refocus. Redefine how the home is lived in.

Every move that followed was deliberate. Bringing the essential spaces onto one level. Opening the home to light, landscape, and connection. Creating something that works as a whole again.

Project Cadence carries the same intent beyond the interior, strong forms, grounded materials, and a landscape that feels considered, not decorated.

An elevated concrete pool cuts through the garden, softened by planting, anchored by structure.

Nothing here is accidental.

And nothing is left unresolved.

Most homes play it safe.

White on white. Safe tones. Nothing pushing back.

Project Cadence doesn’t follow that path.

Deep walnut wraps the space, grounded and deliberate, while stone cuts through with a soft pink vein that shifts the mood entirely.

It’s rich. It’s warm. It’s different to what you see around here.

And that’s the point.

Cadence

10-metre frontage. Big design energy.

Designed for a narrow lot in Wavell Heights on Brisbane’s north side, Cadence proves that thoughtful design can transform a standard block into something truly memorable.

Strong vertical lines create rhythm across the façade, softened with layered planting to bring warmth and balance.

A unique home design.

Choosing stone usually starts with a small sample or photo.

But that only tells part of the story.

Every slab is different, the movement, colour and scale only really reveal themselves when you see the full piece.

Which is why it’s always worth visiting a stone gallery before making the final decision.

You might arrive with one idea… and leave choosing something completely different.

KINNAIRD - Ashgrove new home

Set on a north-facing 400sqm site between traditional Queenslanders, this home draws inspiration from the character of the street while embracing a modern way of living.

Designing in a TBC area doesn’t mean replicating the past. It means understanding it. Taking cues from the traditional form and reinterpreting them into a home that feels contemporary, purposeful and right for its place.
