About the Role
RK Pro Construction is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team in Eagleby, Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, renovating and repairing timber structures, fixtures and related building components in accordance with plans, specifications and Australian construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Study and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
• Measure, mark, cut and shape timber and other construction materials accurately.
• Order, select and prepare timber and other materials required for construction projects.
• Construct and erect wall frames, roof frames, flooring systems and other structural components.
• Install floorboards, external wall cladding, fascia panels, doors and window frames.
• Assemble and install timber structures and fittings using appropriate tools, fasteners and construction techniques.
• Construct and install formwork for concrete structures where required.
• Cut and form timber joints and complete carpentry work to a high standard.
• Repair, renovate and replace damaged or deteriorated timber structures and fittings.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices at all times.
Skills and Experience
• Relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220), or equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience working as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong skills in measuring, cutting, assembling and installing timber components.
• Ability to use carpentry hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Good understanding of construction practices and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
• Good communication, reliability and time-management skills.
• Relevant Queensland licensing or registration requirements must be met where applicable.
