Climbing figs are low effort, high impact - if you stay on top of a few basics.

✂️ Keep them trimmed to shape and encourage even coverage across your wall.

🚿 Water consistently while they establish, then ease off once they’re settled.

☀️ They love bright light and something solid to climb - the more support, the better the spread.

Feed during the growing season to keep that lush, dense look.
A little maintenance goes a long way and the payoff is a wall that softens everything around it. 👌

Silver Falls is one of those plants that looks high maintenance - but really isn’t.

☀️ Give it plenty of light (the more sun, the better that silvery tone).

🪏 Let the soil dry out between waters - it hates being overwatered.

🌱 Make sure it’s in well-draining soil or a pot that doesn’t hold moisture.

Trim it back to keep it full and flowing, not stringy. Treat it a little tough and it’ll reward you with that soft, trailing look.

Introducing the Climbing Fig (Ficus pumila)

A fast-growing vine that’s perfect for breaking up concrete, brick, or rendered walls - adding texture and a lush, softened feel.

FUN FACT: It has two distinct leaf stages!
The young leaves are small and soft (the look most people love), but if left untrimmed, it matures into larger, thicker leaves with a completely different appearance.

Regular trimming is key. Without it, it can become patchy, and start pulling away from the wall.

"Go ham on the B*TCH" ✂️✂️✂️

Not every yellow leaf is a problem 🫣 - it’s the circle of life.

Remember to:

🍃 Trim strategically
Remove fully yellow leaves at the base so the plant can redirect energy into new growth.

🚿 Check your watering
Overwatering is the most common cause. Make sure the soil dries slightly between waterings and your pot has proper drainage.

☀️ Light matters
Too little light can cause yellowing. Most tropicals prefer bright, indirect light - not dark corners.
