A modern Mediterranean escape, designed to make the most of its waterfront setting.

At Newport, the vision is to create an outdoor space that feels connected from one area to the next, with soft curves, continuous concrete finishes and dedicated spaces for entertaining and relaxing.

A 7m pool with a curved end will set the tone for the design, while concrete pathways and stairs will connect the outdoor living areas. The standout? A sunken fire pit with curved concrete seating, positioned to take in the sunset and canal views.

Working alongside luxro_pools, the GSUL team will bring the surrounding landscape together, ensuring every element works with the home, the block and the way our clients want to live.

Garsden Street, complete. A landscape design and construction project in Brisbane.

Beginning with a full site excavation, the existing landscape was stripped back to create a fresh foundation for a considered outdoor space.

Natural stone, spotted gum timber, Corten steel and layered planting come together to create a landscape that complements and brings warmth, texture and character to the home.

From the hardwood fencing and custom timber detailing to the organic stone pathways, productive garden and feature elements, every material was selected with purpose.

Meet Mat 👋🌿

With 15 years in the landscape industry, Mat brings a wealth of experience to his role as Sales Manager at GSUL. Six months into his time with the team, he’s already had a front-row seat to an exciting period of growth.

As our Sales Manager, he’s there from the early conversations with our clients, helping shape the experience before a project even reaches site.
For Mat, it’s the calibre of projects, the collaborations and seeing the team’s designs come to life that make the role exciting along with knowing there’s plenty more ahead for GSUL.

Feature Focus | Garsden 🌿

Some features are designed to make a statement, and this one certainly does.
At Garsden, the custom spotted gum fence is a standout feature of the landscape. Every piece of timber was individually cut, hand-sanded, prepped and installed to create a striking pattern that immediately catches your eye.
It’s the level of craftsmanship behind features like this that makes all the difference.

More than just a boundary, this fence adds character, street appeal and a real sense of pride for the homeowners.

A huge effort from the GSUL team, and a result worth showing off.

Early days on site, but already unrecognisable from where it started. Josh walks through what’s coming; softscapes taking shape, tiling through the alfresco area, and decking that’ll run the length of the space.

More to come as it builds out.

New project underway 🌿
The groundwork is done and now the landscape starts to take shape.

With excavation and demolition complete, the GSUL team is moving into the first stage of construction, starting with the first course of the new wall.

Over the next week, we’ll see the structure come together before moving into the next stages of landscaping.

Early days, but plenty to come from this one. 👀
