At Plexxcon, project completion involves more than handing over the finished build. It's also an opportunity to review what worked, identify challenges and take valuable lessons forward.

With the base build of our helicopter hangar at Sunshine Coast Airport reaching practical completion, one of the biggest considerations has been balancing a fast-paced construction programme with the high standards we expect from every project.

As a Plexxcon-funded build, managing time, cost and quality has been particularly important. Taking the time to reflect on those decisions and share the learnings across our team helps us continually improve how we approach future projects.

A major milestone at Sunshine Coast Airport 🚁

Plexxcon has reached practical completion on the base build of a purpose-built helicopter hangar for GuyKat Investments, delivered under a Design and Construct contract.

The 1,390m² facility includes a structural steel hangar, mezzanine level and office space, with civil works, external concrete, car parking, site access and essential building services forming part of the wider project.

With the base build now at practical completion, the next stage will see the project progress into the specialised fit-out for Crown Helicopters.

A significant milestone for the team, with the next stage of the build just around the corner.
