The design for this Camp Hill refurbishment centres around a new pool and outdoor entertaining area, carefully planned around the existing home and rear balcony.

A new upper-level extension blends seamlessly with the existing house, while the floors above provide shelter and shade to the entertaining spaces below. The result is a stylish and highly practical addition that extends the way the home can be enjoyed — creating the perfect setting for spending long summer days outdoors.

After many years on the drawing board, we’re thrilled to finally see works commencing on this exciting new build in Coorparoo.

Set on an irregular triangular allotment, the site has played a defining role in shaping the design, resulting in a truly unique home with an architectural form unlike anything else in the neighbourhood.

It’s been a long time coming, and we’re incredibly excited to watch this one take shape on site.

INSIGHTS 05 | When is the best time to start your project?

If you’re thinking about building or renovating, one of the biggest advantages you can give yourself is time.

Construction costs, material availability and labour can all change, and with continued development across South East Queensland ahead of the 2032 Olympics, there may be further pressure on the construction industry in the years ahead.

The design, engineering and approvals process can also take 6–12 months before construction is ready to begin.

So don’t wait until you’re ready to build. Start planning well before you’re ready to build.

The earlier you start, the more prepared you can be for what’s ahead.

Works are well underway on this exciting renovation and extension project, and the team at are doing a fantastic job bringing the design to life.

At the heart of the design is a generous double-height living space at the rear of the property, seamlessly connected to the external deck and surrounding landscape.

We’re looking forward to seeing this space come together and take on a life of its own as the project progresses.

A new chapter for this home.

This extension and refurbishment has been carefully designed around the existing home, retaining elements of its original structure and character at the heart of the design while introducing a fresh, contemporary façade to the exterior.

The new forms have been shaped to complement the unique geometry of the existing building, creating a considered balance between old and new.

Now on site with , we’re excited to see this complex project taking shape. A huge shoutout to the team at Pillah for navigating their way through the challenges of this one!
