While classic in design, the crazy pave surround in a soft Linen Travertine and Frost White the Kit Kat Mosaic coping are the details that makes this pool feel modern, timeless and aesthetically pleasing while still retaining the original design brief.

Choosing your pool’s interior finish can feel like one of the biggest choices as the water colour defines that character of your new pool area.

Your final water colour will be influenced by landscaping and exposure to the sky, with shady areas tending to reflect more green tones than those in full sunshine. However, there is a wide range of interior finishes from a standard 1mm white pebble, to glass bead finishes and oxides, or a fully tiled pool using either ceramic or glass mosaics.

There is more to this courtyard pool design than meets the eye. Designed around a beautiful, existing frangipani and stormwater manhole on either side of the front yard, this pool is a perfect example of how existing elements can become part of the design rather than obstacles.

Preserving the tree was a high priority and our team took particular care to maintain its health and ensure it wouldn’t impact the fencing regulations of the pool and yard design. Increasing the height and textures of the boundary walls and fence, and creating feature planters against the pool added layers of depth to the space, creating a courtyard that separates the busy world outside and the quiet, relaxed home.

The outcome is a lap pool with with meticulous attention to details, from the fully tiled interior to the timber look tile surrounds. Featuring an underwater ledge positioned next to the infinity edge overflow, every moment exercising or taking in the Hinterland property beyond is peaceful.

Our client had a vision for this pool to turn a once unused space with existing retaining walls into an ambiance filled paradise. Designed to instantly transport you to a European beach club and bring the memories of that summer to life in their own yard.

Surrounded with stone clad walls, we created multiple zones to laze with a chilled glass of Rose, from the customer timber sunlounge to the sunken sunledge and wide bench seating in the pool’s entry.
