🌧️ Rain’s on the way – keep your firewood dry! 🔥

We've had some beautiful weather lately, but with plenty of rain on the way tomorrow, now is the time to make sure your firewood is undercover and protected from the weather.

Burning dry seasoned firewood is important for a hotter and cleaner burn.

Wet wood can lead to less heat and increased build up in your chimney - something we've been seeing a lot of this winter.

Keep it covered, keep it dry and get the best out of your wood heater!

> Burns more completely – more of the wood is used, leaving less unburnt material.
> Gives steadier heat – even-sized pieces help keep combustion more consistent.

> Easier to control – smaller pieces are easier to feed into the combustion unit.
> Better efficiency – more of the wood’s energy can be released.

Note: We aren't talking about all your wood, larger pieces are good for a longer burn but smaller wood burns better.

A quick reminder about using dry firewood 🪵

Lately, we’ve been seeing a number of chimneys becoming blocked, and one of the biggest contributors has been wet or unseasoned firewood.

Wet wood creates more smoke, moisture and buildup inside your flue, which leads to poor heater performance, a blocked flue and dangerous conditions over time.

A masonry heater is a fast-burning wood heater, not a slow-combustion heater. These Heavenly Heat Masonry heaters are filled with wood and lit, then allowed to burn through. No extra wood is added while the fire is burning. Because the fire burns very hot, it is highly efficient and produces very low emissions. Instead of letting the heat go straight up the flue, the hot gases travel through channels inside the heater. The heat is absorbed and stored in the masonry before the gases leave through the flue. The stored heat is then slowly released as gentle, even warmth for 18–24 hours after the fire has gone out.
