Fun Fact: This project has light and medium structural steel with hot-dip galvanised and painted finish. Not your typical fence! Nonetheless, we’ve got it covered.

SHOP DRAWINGS | Many of the jobs we work on require shop drawings. Luckily, we have Steven Angus, our multi-talented Procurement Officer who uses AutoCAD to produce schmick-looking drawings for our clients.

Fun Fact: With over 900m of DET speartop fencing, this was a mammoth project which spanned over nearly a year and had multiple separable portions.

OUR PEOPLE | Luke is one of our loyal employees, having started at SFG as a Project Manager over 4 years ago and recently taking on a new role as Operations Manager. We now affectionately refer to him as the “Ops Man”. Luke’s been in the fencing game for some time so he’s our go-to expert when it comes down to the details.

Fun fact – You’ll find Luke at every decent music concert in Brisbane (and won’t find him at work the following day!). An aficionado in many genres, he also enjoys breaking out the drum kit and electric guitar at home to unwind.

MANUFACTURING | Did you know SFG has in-house manufacturing capability? Russell is our experienced boilermaker who can weld up just about anything. With control over our manufacturing, we can make products quickly to help builders whenever they’re in a tight spot.

OUR PEOPLE | No stranger to the construction industry, Matt is our main project manager for Brisbane. Matt has a can-do attitude and is always looking for ways to improve outcomes for clients, as well as for the business. Skilled in the commercial side of things, Matt also manages all our monthly progress claims. What a guy!

Fun fact – Matt used to run ultra marathons which are more than the standard 42km marathon distance, such as 50km. He’s also an avid cricketer and was captain for the LMS T20 Cricket Masters World Cup this year in Barbados.

Fun fact: Brisbane City Council's Brisbane Metro project has installed over a kilometre of fencing around the metro depot to help protect our precious wildlife.

PAST PROJECT | Gold Coast Airport Terminal Expansion a.k.a. “Project LIFT”

Fun Fact: This project had a lot of chainwire screening that was over 5m high. All the pipe framing was engineer designed and certified by our good friends, Structural Arts Pty Ltd.
