Recently I was asked by an 80 year old to check his roof.
He had been told by some cowboy roofer that he had 15 cracked tiles and cracked pointing, but yet no leaks.
When I popped up, I found no cracked tiles and only very minor pointing cracks.
Be aware of these cheap low pricing roofers trying to drum up business for themselves, hoping that because they only charge a few thousand dollars, that you will go with them.

If you want an honest no obligation inspection of your roof, please give contact me.

Went to a house to help out an 80 year old man who had water leaks from underneath an old solar hot water panel system.
When my boss looked at the tile roof , which had supposedly been restored over a year ago by one of the $1999 scam roofing companies, he noticed that had did no repointing work on the ridge capping, just painted over the cracks. Because it was poorly painted it will probably need to be redone in a few years or even quicker due to the cracked pointing.

If your house is around 15 years , its most likely it has these type of flashing , especially if you a double storey house, it's used alot .
As the outer coating deteriorates, due to the poor quality of this product , its slowly starts allowing water to drip through the flashing.
So you may have this flashing for many many years with no problem, and then suddenly in the midst of a storm, you suddenly has water damage in your ceiling .
It's usually also around the time the roof needs a restoration.
If you need a check , please contact me for a free inspection.

Beware of the cheap low cost roof restorations being advertised on your local power pole.
There are no website to assess the company and so no google reviews from previous clients.
Recently heard of staff from one of these companies damaging a tile roof to make out is needed repair work.

Because most owners have no idea how bad their roof is, dont realise that they just made it worse to convince you need to get work done.
They make the roof restoration cost so cheap , compared to the more professional roofing companies out there, that hopefully you wont ask too many questions about the quality of their work.
Also another client told me that their next door neighbour roof restorations was so poorly done, they could see some of the old paint colour still visible through the new paint job.
Initially it may look okay from the ground and you pay them, but once it starts to fail, and you try to chase them for the poor workmanship and paint work , they wont answer their mobile ph no.
You cant go to the QBCC , because the job is below $3300 and you probably didnt sign any paperwork or got any receipt thats worth the paperwork they wrote you .
Remember the saying " You get what you paid for " really really applies to poor quality cheap roof restorations.
If you want a roof restoration tile or metal and wanted a quality job done by a professional roofing company that only use Dulux paint for any house or commercial building anywhere in Brisbane North or South please contact me on ph 0409580051.
