🏗️ Second-Story Extension Detail | Cheltenham, VIC

Transforming this double-skin brick home with clean lines, precision and weather-tight performance.

We recently completed a major second-story extension and full interior renovation on this charming 1950s solid-brick, post-war mid-century home—this post showcases the seamless eave, rendered fascia, and custom cladding details.:

🔨 Engineered a full 360° eave with a recessed drip line, creating a perfectly flush transition between roof and walls.
🎯 Fully waterproofed the parapet, carrying render cleanly over the top and eliminating the need for metal capping.
🔧 Framed the upper-story windows and wrapped them in sleek standing-seam cladding for modern contrast.
🛠️ Installed the rendered fascia inline with the eave, ensuring architectural harmony and long-term durability.

🏡 Alfresco Upgrade | Cockatoo, VIC

From boxed-in entry to open-plan entertainer—this transformation completely redefined the flow and function of this home.

We recently completed this full custom alfresco build in Cockatoo with a focus on structure, style, and longevity:

🔨 Re-engineered the existing portico structure, removing a corner post and introducing a cantilevered roof design to create a seamless walkway into the new alfresco area.
🎯 Re-lined the portico ceiling and re-clad the entry walls to match the fresh architectural lines and improve curb appeal.
🪵 Constructed a full timber-framed skillion roof alfresco, using a combination of post & stirrup supports and Extenda brackets for maximum strength and versatility.
🛠️ Installed full-length back flashings right up to the ridgeline at all dektite penetrations for lasting weather protection.
🤝 In collaboration with , we completed the roofing in a custom hit-and-miss pattern using Colorbond corrugated and polycarbonate sheets, letting in natural light while providing reliable cover.
🌧️ All flashings, cappings, gutters and downpipes were fully integrated with a seamless connection to stormwater, ensuring proper drainage and long-term performance.
