We’ve recently completed a larger‑scale shed build for one of our valued clients, and before the structure goes up, we’re focusing on the part that rarely makes it onto socials — the foundations.
A quality shed begins with quality concrete. Proper footings are essential for structural integrity, longevity, and performance. Without them, even the best‑designed shed is vulnerable to movement, weather, and long‑term damage.
For this project, we also installed a full apron surround slab — an upgrade many clients don’t initially consider, but one that significantly enhances functionality, presentation, and long‑term protection.
An apron surround slab isn’t just additional concrete. It’s a critical component that improves access, safeguards the structure, and elevates the overall finish of the build.
Why an Apron Surround Slab Matters
Improved drainage — directs water away from the shed and prevents pooling
Cleaner entry — eliminates mud and debris at the threshold
Reduced maintenance — prevents erosion and rutting at the entry
Extended shed life — keeps moisture away from steel and protects the structure
Professional finish — delivers a clean, sharp, high‑quality presentation
Despite challenging weather early on, our team maintained momentum, adapted to conditions, and delivered a precise, high‑quality finish throughout the project.
More updates to come — this shed is shaping up to be an exceptional build.
