💧 Stormwater Absorption System Installation

Another stormwater job completed by the Brandon Totten Plumbing team.

For this installation we excavated the required area and installed a new underground absorption system to help manage stormwater on the property.

Works included:

• Excavation and preparation of the absorption area
• Installation of geofabric
• Installation of Atlantis drainage cells
• New PVC stormwater connection into the system
• Cells fully wrapped and protected
• Backfilled and area reinstated ready for landscaping

A lot of work disappears underground when the job is finished, so we grabbed a few photos along the way to show what actually goes into these systems.

This is why the right bath choice matters 👀🛁

The original oval-shaped bath left large gaps between the bath and tiled walls.

Every time the bath or shower was used, water could make its way down the sides and sit underneath — creating the perfect environment for mould, grime and some pretty nasty build-up. 🤢

We removed the old bath, cleaned everything up and installed a new bath that fits properly against the tiled walls, allowing it to be sealed correctly.

A much cleaner and more practical solution. 👌

This is what we found blocking the drain 😳🌳

Called out to investigate a drainage issue and put the camera through to see what was going on.

Sure enough — tree roots had made their way into the drainage and were causing the obstruction.

Located the problem, cleared the blockage and got things flowing again. 💦🔧

You’d be surprised how far tree roots will travel looking for water!
