Are you a skilled Wood Machinist looking to join a leading carpentry and cabinetmaking company? AllStairs Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Wood Machinist to join their team in Bayswater, VIC. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various wood working machinery to produce high-quality components for custom-built staircases and balustrades.

What you'll be doing
- Operate a range of wood machining equipment such as table saws, planers, routers and sanders to manufacture timber components to specification

- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to keep them in optimal working condition

- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to assemble finished products

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment

What we're looking for
Qualifications in carpentry, cabinetmaking or a relevant trade
Experience operating a range of wood machining equipment
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work from plans and drawings
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Team player with good communication skills

AllStairs manufacture custom timber staircases and joinery. We are looking for an experienced wood machinist to assist our stairbuilders in getting out treads, risers and balustrades and gluing up landings and winders. Other duties may include occasional on site work installing, putting timber away and loading/unloading deliveries.We use quality select grade solid timber and are looking for a skilled tradesperson with an eye for detail and quality, whilst still understanding the need to work efficiently and to deadline.
You will be working with a friendly team of 12 in a well equipped modern factory with quality woodworking machinery.

Happy to say our first Worksafe inspection in the new factory today went very well, he had a couple of tips for us but was very happy with the way we have set things up and loved our dust extraction.
