TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
By engaging M & L Yard Services to provide mowing, lawn care or yard maintenance services, customers acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
PAYMENT & LATE PAYMENT FEE
Payment is required in accordance with the payment terms shown on your invoice.
A $15 late payment fee may be applied to overdue accounts.
We appreciate prompt payment so we can continue providing our services at affordable prices.
DOG FAECES
Please ensure that all dog and other animal faeces are removed from lawns and work areas before we arrive.
If our equipment comes into contact with or runs over animal faeces, a $35 equipment cleaning fee will be charged.
Animal waste creates an unpleasant and unhygienic working environment and may also present a risk of transferring bacteria, parasites or disease between properties and animals.
Please check and clean your lawn before each scheduled service.
ITEMS LEFT ON LAWNS
M & L Yard Services is not responsible for damage to items left on lawns or within areas being serviced.
Please remove all objects before we arrive, including but not limited to:
• Garden hoses and fittings
• Toys
• Dog bones
• Paper and rubbish
• Tools
• Cables and cords
• Sprinklers
• Outdoor decorations
• Other loose or hidden objects
While we make every reasonable effort to identify and avoid these items, they can sometimes be hidden by grass or otherwise difficult to see.
Loose objects can also cause significant damage to our mowing and gardening equipment. Customers are therefore responsible for ensuring the area is clear and ready for mowing before our arrival.
DUTY OF CARE & PROPERTY SAFETY
Before commencing work, M & L Yard Services will conduct a reasonable visual check of the work area for obvious hazards, debris or objects that may present a safety risk.
We reserve the right to refuse, postpone or discontinue a service if we consider the property or work area unsafe.
Despite reasonable care being taken, stones, rocks, sticks, pieces of metal, toys, bones and other objects can sometimes be concealed in grass or garden areas and may not be visible before mowing or whipper snipping.
Customers are responsible for removing loose objects, debris and potential hazards from the areas being serviced before our arrival.
WINDOWS, DOORS & GLASS
Mowing and whipper snipping equipment can occasionally cause stones, rocks or other concealed objects already present on a property to become airborne.
M & L Yard Services does not accept responsibility for accidental damage to windows, glass doors or other glass caused by stones, rocks, loose objects or debris originating from the customer's property that could not reasonably have been identified during our visual inspection.
Any repair or replacement costs resulting from such circumstances will be the responsibility of the customer.
M & L Yard Services does not bring these loose objects or debris onto the property, and accidental breakage caused by concealed or unavoidable debris should not automatically be considered negligence or intentional damage by our business.
We do, however, maintain Public Liability Insurance for our business.
ACCEPTANCE OF OUR TERMS
By booking, requesting or continuing to use the services of M & L Yard Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
These conditions are in place to help protect our customers, our staff and our equipment while allowing us to continue providing affordable mowing and yard maintenance services.
If you do not wish to accept these Terms & Conditions, we respect your decision; however, M & L Yard Services will unfortunately no longer be able to provide services at your property.
We sincerely thank you for your understanding, cooperation and continued business.
