GateWest Energy is an Energex and Ergon accredited electrical contracting business, based on the Sunshine Coast and at Yatala. We’re energetic, hardworking, have strong team morale, and we’re full steam ahead with a whole range of exciting projects across:

• Electrical and NBN/Telstra infrastructure subdivision works
• Rate 2 and 3 street lighting
• Overhead and underground powerline construction
• High and low voltage cable installation, jointing and testing
• Civil trenching, pit and conduits installation

And we’re looking for the best civil trades assistant as the newest addition to our team.

Highly desirable:

• Demonstrated experience in civil works, conduit installation, concreting, trenching, hauling cables, standing streetlights or similar experience (Please outline on your resume)

Must haves:

• A manual driver’s licence
• A construction card (white/blue)
• A positive attitude
• Strong work ethic
• Able to work both independently and in a team

GateWest Energy is an Energex and Ergon accredited electrical contracting business, based on the Sunshine Coast and we need another pair of experienced hands!

We’re hardworking, have strong team morale, and we’re full steam ahead with a whole range of exciting projects across:

· Electrical and NBN/Telstra infrastructure subdivision works
· Rate 2 and 3 street lighting
· Overhead and underground powerline construction
· High and low voltage cable installation, jointing and testing
· Civil trenching, pit and conduits installation

The role:

· Energex Over Head electrical works
· Ability to interpret electrical drawings and manuals
· Ability to control work groups
· Liaise with site personnel and general public
· Liaise with Project Manager regarding project changes and variations
· Ensure daily tailgate talks are held and site risk assessments are completed
· Willing to travel and stay overnight for extended periods (if required)
· Knowledge and understanding of Energex Safety Manual / · Environmental Management System & WCS’s relevant to GateWest Energy’s competencies

MUST haves:

· Energex Over Head electrical work experience (outline on resume)
· Current Queensland Electrical Linesperson Licence
· Prior experience on Electrical Reticulation Works
· Current Drivers licences – Car and MR (Medium Rigid) EWP HR Licence
· Current Energex CAMS training relevant to work being performed
· A construction card (white/blue)
· A positive attitude
· Strong work ethic
