COLUMN BLOCK MOULD (Only ONE available)

I had this 6 cavity mould made-to-order (by a qualified cabinet maker) to save me a huge amount of money when casting my own CONCRETE COLUMN BLOCKS.

Check our the cost of precast concrete columns - prices are staggering. This mould allows you to achieve professional results at a fraction of the cost. This sale is a one-off - it is the only mould of its type that has ever been made (to the best of my knowledge).

The overall mould size is 65cm x 95cm.

Each of the 6 cavities is 25cm diameter by 30cm height.

The holes down the centre of the moulded blocks allows you to put a steel reo bar down the centre of the column, to the base, for stability. When the column is erected, you back fill the cavity with concrete.

The moulding process is so simple:

1. Lay some plastic sheet or shade cloth on a flat smooth surface (eg concrete path/floor/slab).

2. Place mould on the sheet

3. Spray the inside of each cavity with a release agent (eg diesel)

4. Fill all cavities with a standard concrete mix (bagged premix from Bunnings is perfect)

5. Waiting until concrete has set (normally 1-2 days depending on weather/temperature etc)

6. Lift the mould off the blocks using small lugs at either side of the mould

7. VOILA - you have the best part of your first column

8. Repeat and gloat

9. You can add some coloured oxide to the concrete mix if coloured columns are required

This sale is for 'pick up' only, from Bilpin/Windsor NSW, although transport may be arranged at buyer expense.
