Baldwin Group NT is led by Directors Warrick and Tim Baldwin, who have over 55 years combined experience in the refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical sectors. Warrick is qualified in electrotechnology refrigeration and air conditioning, while Tim holds electrical qualifications, and together, they’ve assembled a team of professional, experienced and talented individuals who are passionate about their work and consistently exceed expectations through the delivery of high-quality work and exceptional customer service.

🚢❄️ CRUISE SHIP COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT 🔧⚙️

Our team recently attended a passenger cruise ship after hours to replace a failed Bitzer compressor on the vessel’s provisions refrigeration system.

✈️ Due to the specific operating voltage required, the replacement compressor had to be air freighted from Germany to meet the vessel’s requirements.

🔧 Once onsite, our technicians completed the compressor replacement, system commissioning and testing to get the refrigeration system back into operation.

⏱️ With a tight client deadline and the vessel needing to remain on schedule, careful planning and coordination were critical.

✅ The project was successfully completed ahead of the client’s deadline.

🚢 Cruise Ship – Challenging Daikin Screw Compressor Replacement 🔧❄️

Another demanding marine HVAC project successfully completed by the Baldwin Group NT team.

Our technicians recently replaced a Daikin screw compressor serving the vessel’s central chilled water system. With limited access, a tight sailing schedule and changing tides, careful planning and coordination were critical.

🏗️ The compressor was transferred between the cruise ship and a workboat using crane and lifting equipment, while our team managed the difficult movement of the equipment through the vessel’s machinery spaces.

⏱️ With the vessel required to sail on schedule, there was very little room for delay. Despite the logistical and tidal challenges, our team completed the replacement safely and on time, allowing the vessel to continue operations as planned.
