Alongside the road.
Behind the white picket fence.
Blue skies overhead.
And quite a view.
Our containers must be getting spoiled. 😎

We’re used to seeing them on construction sites, industrial yards, farms and busy worksites, but every now and then they end up somewhere that looks a little more… comfortable.
Still doing exactly what they’re there to do, of course. Providing secure, practical storage right where it’s needed.

That’s the beauty of a shipping container. Give it a level spot and a job to do and it can feel at home almost anywhere.

Although we have to admit, the white picket fence is a nice touch. 😉

CBOX loves sport. And apparently, sport loves CBOX too. 😉
So don’t be surprised if you spot one of our containers right alongside the field.

This one has a pretty important job: giving the officials their own space during match days. A place to prepare, have a quick meeting, organise what needs to be organised and step away from the action when needed.
Strong, robust and built to handle the Australian weather, but comfortable enough to turn into a practical workspace exactly where it’s needed.

And being mobile means the space can be placed right alongside the sporting facilities, without the need for a permanent building.

There’s one more advantage…
With that CBOX orange and branding, nobody can use “I couldn’t find the officials” as an excuse. 😏

Okay, we might have a thing for putting CBOX on everything. 😅
The container.
The ute.
The van.
And apparently, all in the same place at the same time.
But there’s something we quite like about this photo. It shows that CBOX isn’t just a name sitting on the side of a container. It’s the people driving around, organising deliveries, visiting sites, helping customers and making sure containers end up where they need to be.
During the day, after dark and everywhere in between.

And with branding like this, going unnoticed was never really part of the plan. 😉

Fresh from the yard and ready for its next journey. 🚛
Once your container is ordered, you can pretty much sit back and leave the rest to us.
The container is prepared, transport is arranged, it's loaded onto the truck and before you know it, it's making its way to your location.
Because that's what containers do. They travel.
Some cross oceans and cover thousands of kilometres. Others make a much shorter trip and spend the next few years storing tools, equipment or stock just around the corner.

This one?
It's leaving our yard and heading towards its next job.
Where that journey goes from here is up to its new owner.

Order. Delivery. Done.
We’ll take care of the bit in between. 😉

End of the working day.
Tools back in the ute.
Equipment packed away.
Materials secured.
Drive home.
Then tomorrow morning... unload the whole lot again.

Do that five days a week and you're spending a fair amount of time simply moving the things you need to do the actual work.

There's another option.

Put a secure storage container on site and your tools, equipment and materials can stay close to where they're needed.
At the end of the day, everything goes inside, the doors are locked and the site is ready for tomorrow.

Less loading.
Less unloading.
Less ‘who's got that tool in their ute?’ 😅

For construction projects and trades working from the same location for a period of time, on site storage can make the daily routine a whole lot easier.

Done?
Well... almost.

How you store your goods inside a container matters too, particularly when they're going to stay there for a longer period.

Not every item benefits from sitting directly on the floor. Pallets or shelving can be useful for keeping certain goods raised, while leaving some space around stored items can help with airflow and make regular access much easier.
It's also worth thinking about what you're actually storing.

Cardboard boxes, timber, machinery, tools and moisture sensitive goods all have different storage needs. Packing a container completely full without thinking about access or ventilation can create problems later.

A container gives you the space.
A little planning helps you use that space properly.
Future you, trying to retrieve something from the very back, will be grateful. 😉

Open the doors of one 20ft storage container and you'll find boxes stacked on boxes, tools somewhere at the back and that one thing everyone needs right at the bottom.
Open another and everything has its place.
Same size container.
Very different experience.

Adding shelving can completely change the way a storage container works, especially when you're accessing it regularly.
Smaller items can be kept off the floor and organised by type. Frequently used equipment can stay within reach. The floor remains available for larger items and, most importantly, you don't have to unpack half the container to find one box.
You don't always need more storage space.

You might just need to use the space you've already got a little smarter.

And yes, being able to actually find your tools counts as a productivity win. 😉

Tools, machinery, equipment and materials can quickly add up to thousands of dollars in value.
So leaving them scattered around site overnight?
Probably not the best plan.

The solution doesn't have to be complicated though.
A secure storage container gives all that gear its own place on site. Close to where it's being used during the day, protected from the weather and locked away when everyone heads home.

It can also save the daily routine of loading everything back onto vehicles, taking it away and bringing it all back the next morning.
Less moving stuff around.
More getting on with the actual job.
And when the project moves on, the storage can move too.

Turns out a big security and storage problem can have a pretty simple steel solution.

You've probably seen the term ‘wind and watertight’ when looking for a used shipping container.
Sounds good. But what are you actually getting?

For storage purposes, it means the container is designed to keep wind and rain from entering when the doors are properly closed. The roof and walls should be intact and the doors should close correctly.

That's pretty important when the whole reason you're hiring or buying a container is to protect what's inside.
What it doesn't mean is that every used container will look perfect.

A budget container has lived a life before arriving at your site. Scratches, dents, faded paint and surface rust can all be part of the package.
And that's okay.

If you're looking for practical, secure storage, a few battle scars don't stop a good container from doing its job.
Pretty on the outside is nice.
Dry on the inside is a lot more important. 😉

The stock has arrived.
Great news.
Except... it wasn't supposed to be here until next week and the space you had planned for it isn't ready yet. 😅

It happens. Deliveries move forward, projects change, stock levels suddenly increase or a large order takes up considerably more room than expected.
The good news is that a storage problem like this doesn't necessarily need a permanent solution.

A storage container can provide extra capacity right where you need it, and hiring one means that extra space can stay for as long as the situation requires.
Use it for stock, equipment, materials, tools or all those boxes currently occupying every available corner of the warehouse.

Once you no longer need the extra space, the container can simply go again.
Unexpected delivery solved.

Now you can get back to being happy that the stock arrived early. 😉
