In Victoria, a small second dwelling is a self-contained home up to 60m², located on the same lot as an existing home. They can be a great option for:
✨ Family or guests
✨ Additional accommodation
✨ Creating a little more flexibility on your property

A few things to know:
• It must be 60m² or less
• It needs to be self-contained, including a kitchen, bathroom and toilet
• A planning permit is not required in many cases, but this depends on the property, zone, lot size and any overlays or other planning controls

Set within a Heritage Overlay, this was a great project to work on! We were able to incorporate what the clients wanted while still working within the local heritage guidelines.
