⚡🔥 OLD WIRING CAN BE A SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD ⚠️

Found this fault today in some old cabling:

•Insulation badly deteriorated
•Conductors damaged and exposed
•Causing the RCD to trip and detect the fault

Luckily, the property had been upgraded to RCD/RCBO protection, which picked up the earth leakage before it became something much more serious. ✅

🔧 Old wiring + old protection = a hidden risk.

⚡️ OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW!⚡️

Fletch & Leigh were hard at work yesterday giving this property a much-needed electrical upgrade.

The existing setup was running through an old timber enclosure with outdated ceramic fuses, along with an ageing overhead supply arrangement.

🔧 Installed a new riser bracket and fuse box, ready for Powercor to connect the new supply from the street pole.

⚡️ Installed new consumer mains from the new fuse box through to a brand-new switchboard.

🛡️ Replaced the old ceramic fuses and timber switchboard with a modern switchboard fitted with individual RCBO safety protection, providing improved protection for each circuit throughout the home.

🏠 A huge improvement in both safety, reliability and compliance, bringing this old electrical installation into the modern day.
