1020 yard data dial checks, zero wind means perfect conditions to validate your dial up data vs impacts.

Your accuracy and precision will only ever be as good as your rifle system, its assembly procedures and tolerances, its components, the ammunition assembled to suit and the time spent behind it putting rounds down range outside the comfort zone.

With a well tuned platform and regular practice in all conditions at extended ranges, we are regularly getting cold bore and second round follow up groups down to 2-3 inches a 1000 yards from custom built and factory long range rifles in a hunting style scenario off the dirt in the mountains.

I could have sat here all day watching and learning from this old boy on Thursday, close enough to smell him, he was paying attention to every little stick crack and bird chirp, there's 6 bird calls i know of that make the deer highly alert or bolt when they sound their alarm calls of a potential hazard or predators spotted like dingos foxes cats eagles hawks and humans, I was slow enough through the bush not to disturb them with no alarm sounded, and was lucky enough to sit so close to him for a couple of hours filming and learning, trying to memorise those sounds that brought attention to him making him raise his ears head and nose processing potential threats while he's bedded chewing his cud. There's not enough respect for these animals considering how smart and alert they are 100% of the time. When you take away the "oh it's just a deer" and spend all your time looking for them and learning from them you can appreciate why the big old boys are so elusive and onto you the second your in their territory.

Millions of years of isolation have shaped Australia’s extraordinary mammal fauna into species unlike anywhere else in the world, from platypus to koalas and wombats. Tragically, Australia is the world leader in mammal extinctions. About 40 species have gone extinct in the 238 years since European...

Here’s a tribute to the first rifle I purchased and what started my journey getting into the long range precision game.

The Savage model 12 lrpv 22-250.

This things had thousands of rounds through it, its shot unbelievably well with the same hand load its whole life only needing minor seating jumps the older it gets, the barrels definitely tired now but still produces amazing groups from the condition it’s in.
If this gun could speak it’d have a hell of a story to tell from all its adventures.

I’m certainly no cinematic film maker, but here’s a very quick look at some prep and training in the wind before going into an upcoming rabbit control shoot. Training in all conditions and terrains is essential for your marksmanship skills.

We were out with the manager today, it started with a phone call asking about pest control, what we do and how we do it.

Now we’re establishing property boundaries, shoot/no shoot zones, access points and putting a tailored plan together that suites this 1200 odd acre property and its surrounds.

We’ve found all the likely hide outs and routes for the foxes cats and deer, with the hay cut it’s perfect to see the small vermin foxes cats and rabbits, making for easy collections and cleanup.
