What is it?

Cloud scanning is the process of analysing a real-world object or environment to collect data on its shape and appearance. The collected data can then be used to construct digital 3D models, such as Building Information Models.

Here at PLDraft, we use a Trimble X7 3D laser scanner to give us the most in-depth scans possible. Whether you work in architecture, engineering, or construction, our cloud scanning here at Production Line Drafting is a valuable tool.

A complex curved awning spanning 13m between two high-rise buildings in Barangaroo, Sydney.

It supports 40m of glass and incorporates custom connections to ensure it looks great!

This project consists of over 2400 parts, 190 assemblies, and 38 tonnes!

Presenting Stocklands Shellharbour - a past, complicated, project we worked on 🛠️

This was a very complex project requiring a multitude of unique connections.

The main design elements of this project included:
- Curved building ends
- Outriggers to support glass
- 2 separate mechanical plants on roof
- Main steel to concrete connections
- Main columns to curved parapet structure details
- Roof structure using a combination of structural steel profiles & cold rolled sections
- Fabricated bridging assemblies

Here's a past project we completed for the Stanhope Anglican Church, the construction of which was undertaken by our good friends Reitsma Constructions.

Our Project Duties included Full Workshop Details of Structural Steelwork and Cold Rolled Items.

The complex roof structure required very precise detailing, particularly around gutters, fascias and hips and Valleys The building is a magnificent building of biblical proportions.
