Upgrade time for this old classic. The WWII era shed is undergoing an upgrade with the team at LPC leading the charge. Given the huge amount of heritage in this shed it was important to the owner to recycle as much of the original hardwood timber as possible whilst increasing the efficiency of the operation. Internal electrical refit and new shearing plants will make this shearing facility good as new. LPC will be constructing a new set of 3000 head sheep yards as part of the upgrade so stay tuned for further updates.

In-between dodging summer storms we have the hay baled and the roof on this new 40m x 18m hay shed. The pressure is now on to get the walls clad and move the 1000 plus bales into their new home. A great result for the first crop on this property in over 20 years.

Weaning time. The 2 videos are a week apart. First one is moving the mums back to pasture and the second one moving the weaners to their new paddock. The weaners spend a week in the yards on feed and enjoy some education with the hounds. The difference is huge...from naughty kids to calm easy to handle cattle.

Not a bad way to finish the day.... bringing the cows and calves in for weaning tomorrow.

Office with a view! With the recent bushfires still fresh in our minds the impacts still linger. The fires east of us have pushed the wilddogs west and now they are impacting on our livestock. We were more than happy to spend a day serving up freshly baited meat for their controlling sustenance!
