🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT – QUEENSLAND HOMEOWNERS 🚨

1 January 2027 is getting very close.

From this date, ALL Queensland homes must comply with the new smoke alarm legislation.

With Christmas approaching, our available installation dates are already becoming limited. Please don’t leave it until December and risk missing out.

But more importantly — don’t install smoke alarms just because the law says you have to. Install them for the ones you love sleeping inside your home. ❤️

🔥 WHY INTERCONNECTED ALARMS MATTER

Imagine a fire starts in your garage or another part of your home during the night.

The door is closed.

You’re asleep at the opposite end of the house.

A smoke alarm sounding near the fire may not wake you immediately.

With interconnected smoke alarms, when ONE alarm detects smoke, EVERY interconnected alarm in your home sounds.

That early warning could give you and your family precious extra time to wake up, get out safely and call for help.

That’s the whole point — early warning, no matter where in the home a fire begins.

Required smoke alarms must be:

✅ Photoelectric
✅ Interconnected — when one sounds, they all sound
✅ Compliant with Australian Standard AS 3786–2014
✅ Installed in every bedroom
✅ Installed in hallways connecting bedrooms
✅ Installed as required on every level of the home
✅ Hardwired or powered by an approved non-removable 10-year battery, depending on the installation requirements

All Queensland homes must comply by 1 January 2027.
